Our story

Our company was inspired by our first dogs, Moses and Zeus — hence the name Mozu.

Moses and Zeus were both very good boys, but very picky when it came to their food. As they both got older, we wanted to ensure that they ate a varied and balanced diet with plenty of natural supplements and antioxidants. As a result, we started to make homemade treats using seasonal, human-grade produce. Today, we make batches of those same treats to order in small, handcrafted batches — meaning minimal wastage and no use of preservatives.

When we began to offer Mozu dog treats and dog boarding, we wanted to create a service that we as dog owners would be happy to use ourselves. Our business is motivated by dogs’ happiness and wellbeing, which is why we only ever look after a small number of animals in a comfortable home environment. Our dogs never have to spend the whole day out in the elements, unlike at many leading dog daycares. We are fully insured and licensed with our local council, who have given our services the highest welfare rating possible. 

Mozu is all about dogs and their specific needs. We always maintain a close relationship with owners and ensure that we know the dogs’ personalities as best we can. That extra knowledge means that owners can relax and really focus on their day, safe in the knowledge that their dog is living a 7-star life whilst in our care.
