Hi guys, it's Berry here!
I wanted to tell you all about my December. Every year, so many of my friends come and board with us during the holidays, and it's so much fun. This year, Skye, Buddy, Casper, Luna and Daisy stayed with us for Christmas and New Years.
To kick off the festive period, an enormous tree was delivered to our house (but apparently me and my pals weren’t allowed to pee on it.) Our pawrents ordered a cute picket fence that protected the tree from the pee, and protected us from any baubles that might fall down.
Mum spent ages decorating the tree whilst listening to someone called Michael Bublé. She even had special decorations with my older brothers, Moses and Zeus, on them! Even thought they're not with us anymore, they still get to be here on our Christmas tree.
Of course, as soon as the tree was up, we got dressed up and had a photoshoot. My pal Buddy was Santa, Casper and I were elves, Rigby was a reindeer, and Skye dressed up as a Christmas pudding.
During the holidays, it got really cold and we even had few days of snow! I loved chasing snowflakes and I even built my first snowman. In fact, I nearly became a little snowman myself when the snow got stuck to my paws and made little “snow boots” out of ice and snow. Mum says that because I release heat through my paws, all the snow between my paw pads melts and becomes little icicles. The more snow I touch, the bigger they grow! Since I refuse to wear doggy boots, next time it snows I'll have to put on some paw balm to stop the icicles from forming.
We also went out to visit lots of other pup-friendly places. My pal Sasha went shopping to Fenwick, where he attacked some of the Christmas decorations hanging on the tree. In his defence, he thought it was a little bird! If anyone would like to take their pup shopping in London, you can check Mozu's guide to the best dog-friendly shops in London.
Sasha, Skye and I were able to visit The Victoria in Oxshott. We got many compliments from other diners as soon as we walked in! Our table was near a roaring fireplace, which was great after our walk in Esher Commons. The staff were so friendly and brought us little doggy “gravy bone” appetisers. (And, of course, I also got to try some chicken from our pawrents' plates!)I If you want to hear more, then check out our MOZU review of The Victoria and some incredible places to go for walkies after lunch.
Before my daycare pals went home for the holidays, Mum and Dad made a load of cookies, jams and biscuits for the hoomans, and some yummy Mozu treats for me and my friends. The treats were inspired by Christmas dinner and were made with turkey, pork, carrots, parsnips and cranberries.
When my friends stay with us, we want them to feel at home — that's why they always participate in all of our festive celebrations. On Christmas Eve, we helped Mum make some canapés. (Buddy was particularly interested especially in the pigs in blankets.) Everyone wore their Christmas sweaters and pyjamas and cuddled in bed.
